
Jana Mudronova is a sustainability practitioner with nearly 15 years of experience supporting investors and regulators in emerging markets. In her work, Jana focuses on strengthening the management and reporting of social impacts, adapting global best practices to local contexts.
Jana began her career improving shared value for mining communities and has since advised banks, impact investors, and private equity funds on elevating sustainability performance across portfolio companies. At IFC, she led ESG Thought Leadership projects linking risk and impact management systems to the SDGs and Paris Agreement. Her work has advanced understanding of wages and inequality, stakeholder voice in business conduct, and inclusive sustainable finance. She holds a Doctorate in Applied Development Economics from the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa, and has lived in Hong Kong, China, the Netherlands, South Africa, and the UK.
