Who We Are

Valerie De Cock

As a Research Fellow at the Taskforce, Valerie is compiling a comprehensive body of evidence on how businesses and financial institutions impact inequalities and social outcomes, their dependencies on people-related factors, and the associated risks and opportunities at both the entity and system levels. She isalso focused on ensuring the evidence is presented in an accessible format and that its direct relevance to our stakeholders is clearly communicated.

Valerie has a background as a researcher, project manager, and lecturer at the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB, Belgium). Throughout these roles, her primary focus has always been worker wellbeing, with a particular emphasis on inclusion and opportunity for all in the workplace. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics and Management from the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management (ULB). Valerie also serves as a Board Member for The Shift, the Belgian sustainability network.
